Description Job Title: Price Strategy Director FLSA Status: Salary

The Price Strategy Director is responsible for supervising, directing, implementing and managing the price strategy for all categories of business for Festival Foods as well as conducting ongoing competitive analysis and price optimization, while living the Boomerang Basics.


  • Lead and develop the Price Strategy team for Festival Foods

  • Responsible for planning and overseeing the execution of Festival Foods advertising by regional market

  • Manage and oversee the execution all aspects of retail pricing

  • Develop, review, implement and continually reassess new best practices for the marketing, merchandising and price strategy teams and communicate them to all involved parties

  • Responsible for overseeing the analyzing and recommendations based on Nielsen, POS and/or other market specific competitive data

  • Apply advanced analytical thinking to key pricing issues

  • Improve the use of predictive analytics to proactively manage price

  • Provide fact-based support to defend prices through the development and quantification of customer value propositions

  • Analyze market trends and partner with Festival Foods buyers to drive new items

  • Monitor the all departments to ensure all safety standards are being met

  • Support continuous improvement of the price strategy process

  • Manage the non-perishable departments overall profitability to ensure it aligns with annual operating plan and adjust as needed

  • Provide leadership and guidance ensuring we are continually developing new leaders to support growth

  • Proficient in Servant Leadership practices

  • Demonstrated mastery of the Boomerang Basics

  • 5+ years of experience with an analytical Director level role in the Grocery/Retail business

  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, quantitative analysis, resource allocation, human resources, leadership techniques, coordination of people and resources

  • Monitoring and assessing performance of self, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; and the ability to handle a diverse team in a sometimes stressful environment

  • Sitting at a desk/computer 75% of the time WORK SCHEDULE The Price Strategy Director is a salaried position. The work schedule will include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to travel within the state of WI, or up to 25% of the time

  • As a 24/7 business operation, Saturdays are considered part of the work week
