Volvo Group Supplier Quality Analyst & Assistant in Greensboro, North Carolina


  • Work in accordance with GTP Processes, Quality systems, the Volvo Way and the GTP values and behaviors

  • Manages quality data in Volvo IT systems including certificates, APQP, PPAP, LPS, SEM, Index, SMA, etc.

  • Administrative support to SQA Director and SQA Regional management team

  • Coordinates all aspects of the SQA Regional Management team in a professional and effective manner Demonstrates superior customer service with internal and external customers

  • Support SQA Managers with department administrative activities

  • Achieve the purchasing objectives for portfolio in accordance with Purchasing Strategic Objectives and with the customer’s needs. Target fulfillment will be tracked in the PBP

  • Administrate meetings, agendas, take minutes and follow up

  • Compile information, organize and create presentations and reports

  • Responsible to organize conferences, events and other meeting arrangements

  • Manages Regional SQA Weekly & Monthly Reports and all KPI’s measurement & reporting activities.

  • Maintains procedures, documents and records for Supplier Quality Assurance. Analyzes data for preparation and distribution of reports

  • Maintain ePS system updated by controlling all Regional Inspection Reports updated, changes and conciliations has to be tracked and documented

  • Proactively propose reports or tools adaptation to match with the current and future business needs to maximize SQA benefits

  • Coordinate application enhancements together with Volvo IT and end users

  • Spread the right knowledge around reports and tools and train people

  • Maintain Supplier Quality Assurance databases (GPS/VSIB, etc.)

  • Audit the compliance to processes, identify and eliminate redundant steps to make processes lean

  • Serves as SQA representative for quality procedures review, revision and control

  • Contributing in assuring quality objectives are known to suppliers

  • Maintain SQE handler numbers accurate and updated in GPS

  • Super user administrator for SQA Regional Portal and associated teamplace


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering (extensive experience and strong performance can substitute for lack of diploma)

  • Analytical Skills: Recognizing patterns in data, information, or events, drawing logical conclusions, and making recommendations for action

  • Strong synthesizing skills. Uses structured approach with good analytical skills and logical thinking

  • Advance level of computer skills including PowerPoint and Excel (Pivot tables, macros, graphics, etc.)

  • Continuous improvement mindset

  • Excellent communication, planning and organization skills

  • Knowledge of Quality Standards

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and perform duties effectively in a fast paced environment

  • Strong sense of confidentiality

  • Foreign language skills desirable

  • Experience working in global environment
