Business Management Senior Financial Analyst
The position provides financial analysis guidance to the A3 Printing Solution Business Unit as a partner to the business leadership team. It primary focus will be on the weekly performance of the A3 business vs. forecast and budget in addition to providing deal support to the region business and finance teams. The A3 Business Unit is a newly establish business unit under Office Printing Solutions Segment and is a highly visible and growing business within HP Inc.
As the Current Business Management (CBM) Senior Financial Analyst, he/she will provide leadership to the A3 Business Unit. This position will provide financial advisory and consulting on processes, programs and projects, primarily to business managers, and contributes to planning, forecast and trend analysis of the A3 current business.
Partners with the CBM business team on tactical business decisions, while working closely with both the regions and GBU teams. The analyst will work to help drive the business results by demonstrating solid knowledge of accounting principles, HP policies and their application, system utilization, business processes and controls.
Key responsibilities :
Providing accurate and timely financial information to the A3 Business Unit management and each of the business unit General Managers and CFOs for decision support and business planning.
Develop various profitability reports including profitability by business, region, and product segment and aid in using these reports to drive improvements in the business. These reports are done on a monthly and quarterly basis to closely monitor the business results.
Develop revenue and margin reports comparing actual performance to budget, last year, and forecast for the different areas of the business that you support.
Develop forecasting models using market indices, historical trends and other methods.
Fully participate in budgeting and forecasting processes.
Use your strong business drive along with the ability and initiative to identify and develop analytical tools for various areas of the business.
Develop and maintain bottoms-up financial forecast models, and other ad hoc analysis as needed, to drive decision making and improve predictability of the business.
Weekly reviews with the region and sales operation teams to assess the A3 financial position, determining key levers to help achieve the quarterly forecast.
Maintain strong working relationship with the region finance teams in analyzing current financial position, customer and sales trends, big deals, discounts, backlog and pipeline.
Strong communication skills are a must as this role will work with various levels of management, both in finance and the business, and must be able to clearly relay results of analytical projects as well as monthly and quarterly results.
Drive improvements in the financial and reporting processes, and the quality of information provided to the business.
Skills required include strong excel, access, and PowerPoint knowledge with the aptitude to extract information from the existing business systems.
Education and Experience Required
First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) preferred.
Typically 6+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
Typically experienced in more than one finance function.
