DuPont is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer for the DuPont Teijin Films plant at the Hopewell manufacturing site in Chester, VA.
The individual in this position will serve as an electrical and process control resource to the plant manufacturing and maintenance organizations. They will ensure the safety, operation, and reliability of the plant control and electrical equipment, and lead projects to maintain/improve the plant’s control and electrical equipment. They will also participate in the Hopewell Electrical Safety Team and share or implement electrical safety learnings and best practices from industry and other Dupont sites.
Serve as resource to the manufacturing and maintenance organizations regarding control and electrical equipment.
Assist in day to day maintenance and troubleshooting of control and electrical equipment.
Develop and/or implement necessary preventative maintenance and upgrade plans required to maintain the plant’s control and electrical in a safe and reliable condition.
Lead specific projects as required to upgrade plant’s control and electrical equipment with goal of improving equipment safety and manufacturing cost and uptime.
Ensure process control drawings are maintained in an “as-built” condition.
Assists the Electrical Supervisor and Training Coordinator in identifying and implementing training for the plant’s E&I technicians.
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
Training and experience with the operation of industrial control and electrical equipment, VS drives, PLCs, distributed temperature controllers.
Five (5) years or more demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead/uphold core values of SHE, quality, people treatment, and ethics.
Demonstrated ability to execute and lead capital projects.
Ability to manage by influence
