Benefits Technical Analyst
The Technical Benefits Analyst will serve as the primary system, data, and reporting contact for US Health & Welfare Benefits. Responsibilities will include:
Day-to-day trouble-shooting and resolution for reported employee benefit issues related to data, eligibility, timing, and system issues.
Create and maintain documentation related to eligibility, administration, policy changes, reporting, and process flows.
Respond to requests for documentation in support of required legal and compliance filings and audits.
Assist with data requests for employees joining or leaving HP due to acquisitions, divestitures, and outsourcing contracts.
Maintain reporting and reference tools used for regularly scheduled and ad-hoc needs. Position requires ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with employees, retirees, and internal and external partners.
Education and Experience Required:
· First-level university degree or equivalent experience.
· Typically 2-4 years related experience in data analysis, reporting, compensation, benefits, finance, and/or human resources (HR).
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Strong research and analytical skills.
Advanced use of Microsoft Office tools including Visio, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Intermediate knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment as it relates to employee compensation and benefits.
Basic financial and business acumen.
Basic project management skills.
Payroll and Workday experience preferred.
