The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) in Houston, TX is seeking a vascular and endovascular surgeon. This is a full-time position with a 1.0 FTEE appointment at the MEDVAMC and an academic appointment at the Baylor College of Medicine. The successful candidate will have training in all aspects of open and endovascular vascular interventions; and meet the minimum credentialing requirements for diagnostic and therapeutic endovascular procedures. Excellent clinical skills in endovascular interventions such as carotid stenting, infrainguinal interventions, and advanced aortic endovascular techniques to include experience with fenestrated endograft placement techniques are required. Finally, the successful candidate will be anticipated to pursue vascular research related to vascular disease management; possess the potential to contribute to the established research program in the Vascular Surgery Division; and be involved in teaching of General Surgery residents and Vascular Surgery Fellows.
Work Schedule; Monday - Friday, 8:00a.m. - 4:30pm (no alternate work schedules are available)

Basic Requirements*: *
- U.S. citizenship. Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Preferred Experience: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery
