Dr Pepper Snapple Group Sanitation Supervisor- 3rd Shift in Houston, Texas

Position Responsibilities

The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision and utilization of equipment, materials, and people in a food production/packaging environment.

  • Optimize resources while ensuring manufacturing equipment meet specifications and per the budgeted production standards and in accordance with FDA, USDA, GMP's, HACCP, and all other governmental policies, procedures, and regulations as they pertain to sanitation.

  • Ensure accuracy of all aspects of the master sanitation schedule are maintained and updated as new methods become available.

  • Monitor and enforce proper sanitation and housekeeping procedures to maintain microbiological, quality and safety standards. Investigates and diagnoses microbiological and sanitation issues in a timely manner. Ensure that a corrective action is obtained and implemented.

  • Monitoring production schedules and requirements in terms of micro quality, quantity, & safety. Working with planners to schedule work/jobs.

  • Work within approved operating expense budget, ensure sufficient operating supplies and capital equipment are available for department personnel to produce product to schedule.

  • Identify and facilitate process improvement projects, training/ workshops to drive cultural change.

  • Reviews, evaluates, counsels and disciplines employees as necessary to ensure department meets or exceeds productivity requirements.

    This candidate will need to have a basic understanding of GMP, HACCP, Safe Quality Food Principles, Food Defense Principles, and Quality Management Systems


  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills. Strong time management skills. Excellent analytical skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Basic presentation and writing skills.

  • Technical competence in understanding manufacturing processes

  • Associates Degree from an Accredited University, or High School Diploma and 5 years minimum of supervisory experience in QA or production.

  • 2 years minimum of supervisory experience in QA or production.

  • 3 years minimum experience with Microsoft Office.
