Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Service Line Specialist Laser Tracker FLSA Status: Exempt Reports to: Global Service Line Manager Manages: None Other Requirements: None

GENERAL SUMMARY

Primary role is to develop and execute the Laser Tracking strategy in alignment to the overall MBI Strategic Plan. Focusing on the key elements of the TEAM MBI Business Leadership Process (TBLP) of Value Creation, Customer Satisfaction, Citizenship, Growth, Market Leadership and People Development. Directly responsible for the development and growth of the revenues of the Laser Tracking Service leveraging the TEAM Industrial branch network. Responsible for the development of specific process and procedures for the Laser Tracking service. Undertakes the training and development of global technicians allowing regions to become self-sufficient in the execution of the service and signs off on technician’s competency based on level of training and experience. Responsible for the ongoing maintenance, software upgrades, calibration, utilization and reliability of the Laser tracking equipment. Responsible for the development of commercial sales programs and materials to assist market penetration via the service network.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Interface with client management to coordinate workflows and establish technical requirements in relation to Laser Tracking Services.

  • Preparation and planning of onsite work requirements and oversight of field service technicians to ensure duties completed accurately.

  • Determine specific task requirements including identifying potential hazards through the use of risk assessments

  • Review and inspect client tools and equipment for appropriateness

  • Manage, develop, train and coach TEAM technicians and customer personnel on the requirements of successful deployment of laser tracking service on the project.

JOB STANDARDS QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma

  • Strong computer skills, (FARO and Microsoft)

  • A safety qualification (OSHA)

  • TWIC

  • Experience of working on, supervising or managing field machining projects.

  • Good understanding of the principles of in situ machining is desirable.

  • Review models, P&IDs;, Isometrics and other engineering drawings

  • Positive attitude – consistent willingness to develop and adapt-overcome problems and create opportunities.

  • Good interpersonal skills, communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work under extreme pressure, tight deadlines and constantly shifting priorities due to changes to the original schedule.

  • The ability to manage multiple client relationships and develop win - win outcomes with customers.

  • Use of Microsoft Office Packages including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work is conducted in a semi-private office/cubicle setting and requires occasional off site visits to field operations.

  • Field duties require outdoor and/or indoor work in a shop/plant atmosphere.

  • Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.

  • Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.

  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.

  • May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.

  • May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
