The successful candidate will contribute to create, develop, execute and support skin biology research studies of skincare products in collaboration with formulation team and potential external collaborators.
Main Areas of Responsibilities
Contribute with scientific input and provide expertise in mechanisms of skin conditions with a special emphasis in skin inflammation/irritation, pigmentation and/or aging.
Provide technical expertise and experience to coordinate, design and carry out research projects involving cell-based assay, 3D cell culture model, ex-vivo model, biochemical, cell biological, molecular biology and immunological techniques associated with the skin biology research.
Provide scientific data on products by presenting to healthcare professionals.
Collaborate extensively with other Research Scientists and Associates, while taking personal responsibility for success of assigned tasks and projects.
May require 10% of travel
The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:
Proven expertise in the design and hands-on experience with conducting skin biology research, such as inflammation/irritation, pigmentation and/or aging.
Experience with some cell biology and/or molecular biology experiments is must (e.g. qPCR, ELISA, Western blotting, etc.)
The below skills are attributes that may not be mandatory, but are definitely desired in the ideal candidate.
Experience with skin models, including cell-based, 3D tissue models, and ex vivo models.
Experience with histopathology methods and knowledge of image acquisition and analysis.
- Ph.D. in molecular or cellular biology, medical sciences, or biochemistry with 3+ years of relevant post graduate experience, preferably in industry experience in skin biology research.
