This position will be responsible for leading the technical delivery of initiatives within the US Medical Aesthetics Business Unit. This individual will interface with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs), Enterprise Architecture, and other IT services (e.g. Infrastructure) to deliver IT initiatives in support of the Commercial IT – US Medical Aesthetics roadmap and strategy.
This position, reports into the Senior Director of Commercial IT – US Medical and is a member of Allergan’s Commercial IT organization which encompasses end-to-end project delivery including Project Management, Change Management and Integration Architecture skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Delivery & Project Responsibilities. Lead the technical delivery of projects (including system implementations, enhancements, and upgrades) in partnership with program and project managers. Project roles will include mix of solution architect, hands-on project management, business analysis, operational support, and technical advisory. Scope will include solutioning, vendor management (RFP/vendor selection activities), aligning the requirements to the business objectives, requirements gathering, system validation, and ensuring project delivery. Works closely with our IT Services groups to ensure that solutions effectively meet the business needs and aligned within the IT landscape.
Solution Architect. Partner with Enterprise Architecture to understand the Commercial IT – US Medical Aesthetics technology landscape (applications, integrations, data sources, etc..). Provide input into the evolution of the technology landscape in support of the implementation of solutions to meet business needs. Maintain current in technologies relevant to the commercial area, specifically those that align to the current and future needs of the technology landscape.
Other Initiatives. Support/Manage other corporate IT initiatives impacting the Commercial organization.
Minimum or equivalent of a BA/BS degree is required; advanced degree is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years withincommercial systems and/or IT experience with a technical focus is required.
Experience in sales solutions, customer operations, marketing / loyalty solutions and business intelligence solutions is preferred.
Experience in life science / Direct to Physician / cash business processes preferred.
Project management experience using formal SDLC; project management methodology (PMP preferred), techniques, and tools is required.
Proven experience in solution design, development, implementation and data integration of business applications.
Must be experienced in change management, vendor management, business process modeling and reengineering, and application analysis and design.
Track record of strategy development and management of portfolio and technology roadmaps.
Experience in high performing matrix environment.
Experience in managing direct reports is a plus.
