The Sr. Director, Clinical Development is responsible for providing scientific and clinical development direction and guidance at the product, project and study level.
Main Areas of Responsibilities
The Sr. Director, Clinical Development will fulfill several roles.
As the Clinical Lead, the Sr. Director will be the Clinical representative on the Global Project Team and leader of the cross-functional Clinical sub team. S/he will be accountable for the development and execution of the global clinical development plan, working in collaboration with the members of the Clinical sub team.
As the Clinical Scientist, the Sr. Director will serve as a member of the Clinical sub team and have responsibility for providing scientific and clinical development guidance, as well as guiding other sub team leads, at the global product, project and study level.
The Sr. Director may perform the role of Global Project Team Lead and guide other sub team leads where s/he is responsible for the leadership of a cross-functional global project development team on one or more projects.
The Sr. Director will represent R&D at regulatory agency meetings, symposia and trade associations and aim to establish and maintain a strong network within the Pharmaceutical industry.
The Sr. Director will be expected to perform all the roles described as needed by the organization. Other activities, special projects and assignments may at times be expected of the person in the Sr. Director role.
The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:
7+ years’ relevant clinical/drug/device development experience including experience working in clinical research with a strong understanding of the clinical and global drug/device development process
Ability to travel up to 20% of time

Dermatology Rx as well as device experience strongly preferred
5+ years’ experience as a cross-functional team leader
- Undergraduate degree required; MD or PhD strongly preferred
