The Engineering Supervisor ensures all types of facility maintenance and construction are performed in a safe, timely and cost efficient manner for all dockside facilities.

Responsibilities

To provide primary and specialized support for all mechanical equipment, related systems (i.e. HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, restaurant, plumbing, structural, etc.), and all general building/facilities both interior and exterior (i.e. carpentry, drywall, painting, etc.) through delegation of responsibilities to the crew and personal hands-on performance.

Conduct and review periodic employee performance appraisals and conduct regular coaching sessions.

Job Tasks must be finished in a timely manner according to department standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED with a minimum of five (5) years maintenance experience with two (2) years of supervisory experience in facility based maintenance.

Degree related to facility engineering, local municipal license and/or multiple certificates in various crafts preferred.

Must be highly skilled in the use of all hand and power tools related to facility based maintenance.

Must have highly skilled working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry fields.

Must be highly skilled with proper application and use of common and job related special tools and test equipment.

Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.

Highly organized and detail-oriented.
