Bank of America Abandoned Property Senior Operations Representative in Jacksonville, Florida
Merrill Lynch Abandoned Property is responsible for the identification, remediation and/or the escheatment of unclaimed property in line with 53 individual state and jurisdictional laws. To support is process, the abandoned property acts as a branch office designed to segregate abandoned clients while attempting to locate the lost clients. The team is broken up into the following sub-teams:
Identification and Custody – Responsible for the identification of dormant accounts, the movement of the unclaimed assets from the originating line of business into the abandoned property prefixes and the internal movement of the account back to the LOB in an instance where we are able to locate the client
Due Diligence – Responsible for supporting the client while in the Abandoned Property prefixes. This included inbound and outbound call support, email communications and processing of client requests.
Escheatment – This team is responsible for interpreting and complying with individual states laws when reporting and remitting assets to the states.
This open role is on the Due Diligence sub-team. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Adhering to a schedule for supporting inbound calls supporting clients within Abandoned Property
Processing documentation submitted by clients to claim their abandoned accounts
Responding to client inquiries received via the team email box
