Job Summary:

Code, debug, test, and support applications to automate reporting and processes for CSX Intermodal Terminals. Collaborate with business partners to define requirements and scope for automation and reporting projects. Query databases and create data visualizations to drive business decisions. Aptitude and drive to learn new technologies and apply them to develop business solutions. Applicants will be required to engage in ongoing background checks through the duration of this position with continued passing results.

Primary Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Create VBA macros for reporting and automation of processes
  • Develop mobile applications to meet business needs
  • Provide thorough documentation and user guides to support code maintainability
  • Actively take initiative to meet with the business partners and find business needs
  • Learn new technologies on the fly and apply them to develop solutions


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Seeking Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering or related major field of study
  • Must have at least a 3.0 grade point average

Preferred Qualifications:

In addition to meeting the above, the following are preferred:

  • Grade point average of a 3.2 (based on a 4-point scale) in major field of study for your highest degree

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Drive to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Experience coding, debugging, testing, and support for applications programming
  • Knowledge of web/java/UI/programming concepts and technologies
  • Ability to write programs of simple-to-medium complexity
  • Collaborative skills

  • Ability to interact with business partners, vendors, and technical staff
