Washington State DSHS Licensed Practical Nurse 4 in Lakewood, Washington
The Psychiatric Treatment and Recovery Center is seeking a LPN4 to join our team on C7 Ward swing shift.

Some of what you'll be doing:
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse 3 (RN3), you'll work as a lead worker assisting with providing nursing care, administering medication, transcribing orders from the Physician and observing changes in the patient's condition.
You'll be part of a multi-disciplinary ward team.
You'll ensure that License Practical Nurses (LPN) are educated and trained in Pyxis and MediMAR as super-users.
You'll train Mental Health Technicians 1 (MHT1) in the area of nursing care delivery and the use of patient care equipment.
Part of your responsibilities include providing direct nursing care on a ward intervening with patients that are exhibiting risk behaviors.
If the situation arises, you'll safely, physically, and therapeutically intervene with patients utilizing the assistance from the supporting team.
We are most interested in applicants who meet the following desirable qualifications:
A valid Washington State license to practice in as a Licensed Practical Nurse or are able to obtain a valid Washington State license *and * two years' experience as a LPN.
