This position will be part of the CCB Business Intelligence Delivery Center (BIDC) and will be a key driver of Business Intelligence / Analytical consumption from the CCB Big Data Ecosystem. The incumbent will work with clients and

programs to understand Business Intelligence / Analytical needs and driven and align to Big Data consumption solutions

This lead position will work on key BI / data integration use cases, BI / DW industry trends and best practices and consumption analysis. A thorough understanding of Business Intelligence, Data warehousing and BI Solution Architecture is required. This person will play a key role in long term strategic plans and migration to the CCB data ecosystem. This role will also be instrumental in supporting business analysis for the target state CCB strategic data environments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Architect Business Intelligence solutions based on business requirements

  • Determine Business Intelligence architecture solutions for internal JPMC clients

  • Scope and participate on new projects that impact the BIDC

  • Suggest and drive BI solutions for business clients

  • Lead facilitation of workshops with business users to drive requirement gathering/definition sessions.

  • Assist the development team during design and build activities; represent the interests of the business users and IT developers during design and prototype reviews.

  • Innovating new reporting solutions; pilots, POC’s of cutting edge technologies that reach all audiences of Chase utilizing our CCB eco system.

  • Responsible for designing and implementing strategies, architectures, ingestion, storage, consumption and delivery processes for complex, large-volume, multi-variant, batch and real time data sets used for modeling, data mining, and research purposes within our Data Ecosystem.

  • Collaborating with the enterprise architecture and software development teams to define and implement standards for Business Intelligence and Big data Analytics applications.

  • Analyzing business requirements in order to design the data solution on projects mostly for pilots and POC; especially understands data science needs and trends.

  • Establishing best practices for Business Intelligence and Analytics while adhering to enterprise standards.

  • Collaborating with the appropriate individuals (Subject Matter Experts, Architects, DBAs, etc.) to design and implement the appropriate Business Intelligence / Analytical solution.

  • Acting as subject matter expert and making recommendations and providing technical counsel to development staff and other groups, as necessary.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 10 year’s experience related to high volume Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence / Analytics

  • Experience working with commercial distributions of HDFS (Hortonworks, Cloudera, Pivotal HD, MapR)

  • Working experience with Hadoop, Cloudera, HIVE, Enterprise Java development, NoSql data platforms (Cassandra), Pub/sub messaging (Rendezvous, AMPS, Kafka, etc.), Stream processing (Storm, Spark Streaming, etc.)

  • Experience with Hadoop Cluster Administration preferred

  • Experience with Data Integration on traditional and Hadoop environments

  • Experience solutioning reporting and visualization for unstructured and structured data sets

  • Knowledge of data, master data and metadata related standards, processes and technology

  • Experience working with multi-Terabyte data sets

  • Experience with the Cognos, Tableau, and/or similar reporting tool required.

  • Experience designing user interactive and story telling dashboards using Tableau and/or Qlikview applications.

  • Experience in performance and SQL tuning

  • Ability to work independently and manage large engagements.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.

  • Willingness to mentor junior staff.

  • An advanced degree in the area of specialization is preferred
