- Job Summary: This position will support LLUMC's strategic plan and the organization's mission to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ, while embracing the core values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Wholeness.The Secretary, Family Care Services, provides secretarial and clerical duties for Family Care Services, with emphases on recruitment and hiring processes, maintenance of medical records, employee files and records, time and attendance reports, review of physician orders and plans of treatment. Provides vacation coverage for other secretarial responsibilities as needed. Utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize customer service in a manner that supports excellence in customer service and professionalism. Contributes to a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population. Performs other duties as needed. Job Specifications:Must be knowledgeable in API (time & attendance) system and general accounting, as well as familiar with medical terminology. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook); operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook); use 10 key calculator; operate copy machine and fax machine. Able to communicate in English by phone, etc., with customers/patients/staff; apply principles of exceptional customer service to daily work; demonstrate excellent oral/writing skills and excellent listening skills; work as a team player to achieve LLUMC and departmental goals; have others cooperate or follow a specific course of action; relate positively, effectively and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; accept direction. Minimum one year of secretarial/clerical experience required. Minimum one year of payroll processing experience required. Valid California Driver's license required.
