campaigns across all of Elsevier’s customer networks.

We are seeking a talented and

self-motivated Senior Business Analyst with a developed career in marketing

(ideally marketing automation) who has operated within a cross-functional

product development environment. The

role will be joining a new agile team to help innovate, improve and deliver all

aspects of existing marketing campaigns and new global campaigns across the

entire Elsevier portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a

leading role in changing the way marketing automation is delivered across the

company. The role will devise and configure

workflows to build the dashboards enabling the business to leverage Adobe for

marketing segmentation and the Analytics suite for customer usage &

behavior patterns and trends.

Key Tasks

  • Work with global business stakeholder tounderstand the commercial goals and drivers, in order to create a shared visionfor meeting marketing needs

  • Elicit requirements and decompose complexproblems into coherent features, products and projects within the Adobeplatform

  • Write clear user stories for thedevelopment team to deliver marketing requirements

  • Produce any necessary documentation, for exampleacceptance criteria on stories and knowledge share documentation within theglobal Marketing Technology team

  • Work closely with developers, QA’s and userexperience designers to ensure that user stories are clear, concise andcomplete

  • Liaise closely with business stakeholder ona daily basis to represent their marketing requirements

  • Mentor and up-skill other members of theteam

  • Set up best practice ways of working tosupport delivery

  • Help to guide the overall developmentprocess in order to improve quality and flow of marketing campaigns

Skills / Experience

  • Subject matter expertise in analytics anddigital marketing measurement

  • Best practice in digital analytics for allplatforms: web, native apps and single page applications

  • A/B testing experience is preferable

  • Tableau reporting experience is preferable

  • Experience in the use of analytics tomeasure impact of campaigns across social media, web, email marketing and SEO

  • Experience of working within an agile,iterative and incremental software delivery methodologies is beneficial

  • Experience of working successfully withdevelopment teams to deliver bespoke software

  • Proactive and ‘can-do’ attitude

  • Strong analytical, problem solving andcritical thinking skills

  • Ability to deliver projects in parallel byeffective prioritisation

  • Ability to get buy-in and resolve conflictswhen working with business stakeholders

  • A positive approach with an emphasis oncollaboration and good execution

  • Good networking and social skills

  • Excellent oral and written andcommunication skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast movingenvironment
