Citigroup's Global Consumer Bank Recruiting Group Manager will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical direction to the internal and external staffing strategy in support of the Global Consumer Bank. Citigroup's Global Consumer Bank (GCB), is a global leader in Credit Cards, Wealth Management and Commercial Banking and serves as a trusted partner to more than 110 million customers in 19 countries worldwide, providing financial services that enable growth and economic progress.

The successful candidate must be a strong, results-oriented leader who can develop and manage relationships across the business and with a wide variety of partners based on trust, teamwork and knowledge. This is a high impact position supporting a fast paced business. A key method of growing this business is through the hiring of great talent, which has a vast revenue impact to the company and is a key driver of the business' growth. The following details specific responsibilities for this critical role:

  • Develop, implement and execute a highly strategic talent acquisition agenda that will help deliver digital talent and employees of a future GCB FinTech and Bank of the Future.

  • Deliver a robust and strategic diversity agenda across the US which includes identifying areas of success and needs.

  • Lead the recruiting function in the design and implementation of strategically focused recruiting plans and practices across the Global Consumer Bank as well as Consumer Operations & Technology.

  • Provide relationship management support to the business to stay abreast of business priorities and environment changes to monitor and adjust recruiting plans as needed to deal with changes in the business and marketplace.

  • Define and implement process improvements, tools and technology to enhance the recruiting process and better enable recruiters and managers.

  • Provide strategic advice and counsel, as a primary subject matter expert on recruiting for the group. Credibly facilitate strategic plan objectives and coordinate efforts with key partners.

  • Leverage innovative sourcing techniques to drive how positions are filled based on the needs of the business (time, cost, skill set, and diversity).

  • Provide market intelligence and metrics to the business to enable them to better manage their resources.

  • Manage the recruiters' workload, productivity, performance and incentive plan, and client satisfaction; measure progress, track results and provide metrics.

  • Handle all executive searches.


  • 12 plus years working in large complex financial services organization or other large in-house recruiting function

  • Proven track record of advancement, leadership and business success, with extensive experience in leading recruiting teams to drive business performance.

  • Strong subject matter expertise in recruiting. This includes strong understanding of strategic staffing planning, sourcing, interviewing, training and development, diversity, tracking and measurement systems.

  • Able to build and maintain credibility by knowing the business and aligning recruiting support to the priorities of the business - anticipates how business priorities will impact staffing plans.

  • Financial services experience preferred.

  • Strategic planning, complex problem resolution and leadership skills.

  • High level of interpersonal skills and integrity; solid team player.

  • Communicates in a direct, succinct manner; ability to face off with senior executives; strong influencing ability.

  • Thrives in fast-paced, action-oriented environment. Able to operate in ambiguous environment or environment where priorities may change quickly. Drives for results.

  • Track record of execution and outstanding client satisfaction

  • History of success in recruiting, developing and leading an "A" team.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, communicate status to the recruiting team and management, and facilitate the implementation.

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of recruiting analytics and reporting, and how to connect to a broader strategy with alignment to results and outcomes.

  • Experience in Assessment driven interviewing and ability to drive assessment results through predictive analytics
