Based in Los Angeles, CA, you will be responsible for the Maintenance Planning of all preventive, scheduled and FRA required activities related to the maintenance of locomotive and rail equipment as well as working in close collaboration with SCRRA material control to ensure the material is available at the time of inspection. Role would be also tasked in ensuring SCRRA min/max are at the right level for our operations.

In your role you will:

  • Develop material requests reports based on an optimized maintenance schedule and ensure close follow-up on materials availability for corrective work;

  • Build web based standard KPIs for SCRRA using Assets Management System;

  • Follow-up on any early life components failure to understand the root cause and make recommendations such as but not limited to new scope of work, new suppliers, testing requirements etc;

  • Analyze any components shortage, identify the root cause and make recommendations based on finding such as adjust min/max etc;

  • Produce maintenance plan activities based on equipment availability and parts supplies. Adapts to common practices and/or capabilities of system at other sites;


As our ideal candidate:

  • You hold a college degree in Business Management or logistic preferred. Must have a good understanding of material planning and maintenance scheduling. Understanding of mechanical and electrical components is definitely an asset;

  • You possess three (3) five (5) years of experience in a relevant role;

  • You are proficient with SAP;

  • You have advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Crystal Reports, and knowledge of Trapeze Assets Management Database;

  • You owe strong interpersonal and leadership skills;

  • You are process oriented;

  • Your English communication skills are excellent both written and spoken.
