Position Overview and Responsibilities
FleishmanHillard Los Angeles is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time, paid fall internship position. Interns are an integral part of our dynamic team and gain real-life experience and skills that will help them succeed in their future communication careers.
The fall position offers the opportunity to work with the winner of PRWeek’s Large Agency of the Year 2014 and a team of public relations counselors serving a diverse portfolio of clients from local companies to internationally recognized brands. Key sectors and areas of business include:
- Consumer & Lifestyle Marketing
- Corporate Reputation
- Sports Marketing & Sponsorship Activation
- Technology (B2B & B2C)
Our interns are given the opportunity to learn a wide range of public relations skills, including competitive and industry research and analysis, building media lists, media monitoring, writing press materials, developing internal communications materials, social media management and event planning.
We’re looking for motivated self-starters who have completed their junior year of college. Ideal candidates will have a focus in communications, public relations, journalism or related fields and will possess:
- Outstanding communications and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent research, writing and organization skills
- Demonstrate the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Prior internship experience at a public relations firm or corporate communications department
- Ability to work easily in small team environments or independently
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn from our industry-leading team of counselors
This is a 3-month, full-time (37.5 hours per week), paid position with the opportunity for extension.
