We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Representative – Gas and Process to join our team in Los Angeles, CA.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Regional Sales Representative – Gas and Process develops the business in the Western and Central Regions and also develops Key Accounts for product sales and aftermarket business. They approach, build-up and ensure solid and long-term relationships with key-customers, distributors, partners, end users and other indirect sales channels. The Regional Sales Representative follows-up on competitor s activities and manages market information and analyzes the information in order to establish a strategy to grow the product segment in the territory. They will work to win back the complete aftermarket business that is currently in the hands of the competition. The Regional Sales Representative establishes a trusting relationship with a well-recognized local provider and uses them for the for the local service work at customer sites.
Interfaces with local management teams from customer centers, Gas and Process application centers and distributors to develop the equipment and aftermarket revenues and ensure efficient service operation with a high level of customer satisfaction.
Interacts with management team members, including key people from the other regions.
Optimizes penetration of installation base and improves the sales and service revenues to help create stable revenues and profitability.
Coordinates with application team, contract management, project management and credit management to help meet customer s needs.
Attends local and regional trade shows and events to showcase the organization s products and services.
Supports the marketing team in designing and developing sales collateral, including client presentations, general client correspondence templates and other sales-related materials.
Achieves sales in the assigned markets, including initiating contracts, product proposals, quotation packages, and generating/following-up on leads as well as conducting sales presentations.
Contributes to positive company branding by projecting a knowledgeable, professional and customer-oriented image.
Performs all duties in accordance with Atlas Copco standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer.
The Regional Sales Representative will perform other duties as assigned.
Four year degree in business or engineering preferred, or high school graduate with related work experience. Advanced degree a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial sales management experience, including territory management.
Experience in Natrual Gas Vehicle (NGV) a plus, experience in a compressed air industry strongly preferred.
Must be a proven leader with experience in the execution of a stated sales plan and a record of constantly delivering results.
Must be self-directed.
Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Have proven presentation skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Overnight travel for this role is up to 40% of the time or as needed.
Must have and maintain a valid driver s license.
