St. Mary's Good Samaritan Food Service Assistant in Madison, Wisconsin


Under the general direction of Food and Nutrition Services Manager, performs duties relative to the assembly and distribution of meals, and dish room or clean-up procedures after the meal service. Will rotate between set-up positions, distribution and clean up duties. Standards will be used to serve attractive, nutritious, temperature safe food products. Will apply positive customer relation techniques consistently.


EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.


EXPERIENCE: On the job training is provided. Previous food service experience or customer service experience is preferred.


Department Specific:

Must be able to perform proper food handling and sanitation techniques. Able to perform basic math calculations, make accurate change with money, and perform appropriate use of measuring utensils. Must be able to follow instructions and have the ability to perform duties with a reasonable level of coordination and speed. Must deal in a courteous and respectful manner with people. Must have the ability to read and understand basic diet information.
