HOURS OF WORK: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (7 1/2 hours/day)

Summary

Develop and manage the overall card program and strategies including P-Card and Corporate Card across all agencies. Lead the development of card solutions in collaboration with Finance and manage the administrative functions of the program. Review alternative card solutions in conjunction with key stakeholders to determine if other card solutions are in the best interest of the MTA. Understand and develop financial management strategies in connection with Finance.

Responsibilities

Responsible for overall P-Card program and key initiatives to implement and maintain an efficient P2P vehicle for Procurement and Accounts Payable.

Develop and update clear P-Card procedures and policies.

Ensure P-Card program is in alignment with MTA policies, Finance strategies, and overall Procurement goals and objectives.

Ensure account maintenance, processing, and reconciliation are in line with agreed upon service levels and policies and procedures.

Escalation point and key interface with internal Audit and other departments.

Drive program buy-in and user adoption.

Ensure robust and readily available training programs are in place and that card holders are effectively trained.

Articulate and establish P-Card best practices and identify and remedy control gaps.

Quantify and communicate key metrics and implement technology solutions.

Utilize industry and market information and trends to drive additional rebates and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Strong attention to detail.

Collaboration skills with ability to build effective relationships, as well as influence peers and staff.

Strong prioritization and organization skills, with ability to multitask in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Capable of working in a fast paced environment and in stressful situations.

Education and Experience

BA/BS in Business Management or related filed.

5 years of experience in a similar role.

Certified Purchasing Card Professional (CPCP).

Experienced in program management and procurement with a corresponding spend of $500+.
