3M Food Safety Business is looking for a Marketing Segment Manager. This position is located in Maplewood, MN.Position Summary:The marketing segment manager will be responsible for driving profitable growth in targeted food safety market segments. This position will work closely with product marketers, technical service, and global sales teams to develop and execute segment marketing plans. This will include identifying and tracking key performance metrics, creating marketing programs and materials to communicate to bring the strategy through to execution. The ideal candidate will possess a business development mindset, strong customer relationship skills, a clear segment vision, and the drive to execute globally.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Leads and/or supports segment marketing plans, strategies or tactics and adjusts to meet changing market and competitive conditions.Sets branding strategy in alignment with business direction, and leads internal and external teams on development and execution of integrated content marketing programs.Identify and track key metrics for priority segmentsDevelop an in-depth understanding of customer needs within the targeted segmentsWork with global teams to identify and replicate success to drive growthExecute the segment marketing plans in conjunction with the product marketing, technical service, and sales teamsServe as the segment subject matter expertHas responsibility for establishing and enforcing multiple concepts relative to the function. Working tasks might include:Coaching and explaining marketing methodologies to ensure their understanding and buy-inChallenging existing processes to ensure goals are met and/or exceededResponsible for collaborating and cross-functional coordination of functional impacts or decisions relative to area of responsibilityPartnering with operations management peers globally and locally to drive value realizationNegotiates and counsels on an expert level and demonstrates intermediate persuasion skills.
