Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield is looking for a Cook to work 8 hrs/wk! Summary: Under the general supervision of the Manager, Food Service-Production, prepares individual servings and/or large quantities of regular and special diet hot and cold food items as requested for patients, cafeterias, catered events and outreach programs. Prepares menu items following production sheets and standardized recipes. Sanitizes assigned work areas as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Prepares individual servings and/or large quantities of hot and cold food items according to established recipes in a timely and efficient manner. 2. Portions food items accurately and garnishes them consistently following plating guidelines. 3. Ensures the safe and proper handling of all food items according to HACCP and local agencies. 4. Serves as a quality assurance control point for every aspect of the room service program. 5. Takes ownership of problems and ensures a positive outcome. 6. Pre-preps food items as indicated on production sheets. 7. Stores food items properly by covering, labeling, dating and rotating in accordance with department policies. 8. Cleans and sanitizes work area and equipment as assigned. 9. Portions bulk food items into proper serving containers and accurately weighs containers. 10. Records weights and loads containers into appropriate carts for proper distribution. Qualifications: Minimum of completion of sophomore year of high school required. High school diploma or GED preferred. 1-2 years of experience in food service preferred. Job: Nutrition Services
