JOB REQUIREMENTS: Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) invites applications for a full-time Director of Annual Giving to join our Development and Alumni Affairs office. Under the direction of the Senior Director of Development, the Director of Annual Giving will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive annual giving program. This will include: direct mail, phonathon, e-giving, constituent giving programs and personal solicitations. The Director will advise and participate in the development of short and long-term strategies that support MSOE's philanthropic priorities, increases the number of donors and fosters a culture of philanthropy among university constituents. Responsibilities Responsible for the implementation of an annual giving plan with focus on securing philanthropic support from various constituent groups including: alumni, parents, friends, faculty and staff to meet annual unrestricted and restricted gift goals. Develop and produce direct mail campaigns that effectively communicate the annual priorities of the university. Provide management support, routine evaluation & guidance for Development Officer. Work with the development team and the Office of Marketing and Communications, to develop a brand for the MSOE Annual Fund which uniquely makes the case for support from various constituent groups. Provide leadership and oversight of phonathon to ensure clear metrics are established and achieved by external vendor. Develop new programs that engage parents, students, faculty and staff in supporting the MSOE Annual Fund. Provide oversight of the MSOE Annual Fund leadership giving program which secures annual gifts from alumni, friends, corporations, faculty, staff and parents in the range of $1,000 to $5,000. The Director will personal manage a portfolio of 25 to 50 prospects and will be responsible for the cultivation, solicitations ad stewardships of prospects/donors annually. Work collaboratively with the Management and Systems Information staff to ensure campaign timelines are met and processes are in place for data management and reporting of outcomes. Provide oversight and analysis of results to ensure metrics are being achieved and to determine effective strategies when plan needs to be adjusted. Generate reports to communicate results for development staff and campus partners. Provide oversight of annual giving recognition societies. Develop marketing materials to promote recognitions societies and produce annual events for society members. Annually produce an annual giving plan with budget request. Exceptional organization skills and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously to meet timelines and established goals. A self-starter who can work independently to manage a comprehensive annual giving program. Demonstrated ability to solicit annual leadership gift prospects/donors. Ability to set, track and analyze progress toward goals. Well organized and goal oriented. Three to five years of progressively responsible development experience, preferably in higher education.
