Dorsey is seeking a General Ledger Supervisor to join our Finance team in the Minneapolis office. In this role, you will oversee the accuracy and integrity of the Firm s General Ledger system and prepare the firm-wide monthly financial statements. This position will also supervise a team of General Ledger Accountants. Primary Duties will include but are not limited to: Oversee the Firm s General Ledger system which includes the maintenance and review of all balance sheet accounts, uploading of payroll expense from the payroll system, the allocation of expenses, partner compensation reconciliations, employee gift tax compliance, and unclaimed property filings. Prepare firm wide monthly financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flow, operating statistics, variance reports, loan analysis and various detailed supporting schedules. Prepare the financial statements and supporting schedules for monthly, quarterly, or annual audit and tax compliance in our international offices. Supervise daily assignments of the General Ledger Accountants, including hiring, coaching, and developing technical and business skills. Calculate and prepare quarterly and annual bank compliance covenants and borrowing base certificates. Coordinate with external auditors on the preparation of documentation associated with the Firm s year-end audit. Assist with annual billing rate increase process, ensuring all new billing rates are updated in Elite Enterprise. Set-up exception billing rates on client matters. Oversee and load USPTO costs into the Firm s General Ledger system. Assist with changes necessary to load costs. May be requested to perform other duties not listed above.
