(sm) Positions in this function conduct and manage outcomes of various studies that include analyzing, reviewing, forecasting, trending, and presenting information for operational and business planning.
They support short and long term operational/strategic business activities - by developing, enhancing and maintaining operational information and models.
They also develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes.Primary Responsibilities: Analyze, review, forecast, and trend complex data Review the analysis and interpretation of others work Oversee ad-hoc client and operational reports developed and presented by others Present analysis and interpretation for operational and business review and planning Support short and long term perational/strategic business activities through analysis Develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes Become an expert on data release governance to assist stakeholders with issues during peak DRG recertification Assist manager in auditing existing registrations to ensure completeness and optimize the amount/type of data leaving controlled environments Work closely with the Data Governance team to contribute best practices, content guides and processes to optimize data management Support the team leader to create a centralized engagement onboarding process to ensure vital security controls are implemented between the cloud provider, vendor and company Create documentation that can be used by the appropriate groups and departments to resolve data issues, as well as keeping leadership informed on the state of data management efforts Support manager in documenting current process flows and drive business requirement identification to perform gap analysis From gap analysis, assist in design of future state detailed process flows, create policies and procedures Assist in implementation of solutions and ongoing operations of all data protection governance functions Reviews the work of others Develops innovative approaches Sought out as expert Serves as a leader/ mentor Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration, related field or equivalent work experience 10+ years of experience in business process design, business requirements gathering, data risk management and / or technical data analyst experience 5+ years of experience in business/finance analysis Experience gathering requirements from the client/business and documenting Experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processes Experience working in a health care organization Intermediate level of proficiency with PC based software programs and automated database management systems required (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications Background in IT Audit and/or IT risk management Ability to adapt to evolving priorities in a fast-paced, team-first environment Ability to communicate analysis including trends and opportunities to clients and the business in writing and verbally Ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and/or inaccurate data Working knowledge of relational databases, database structures Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
