Manually prune, plant, cultivate, and harvest tree fruits and field crops including apples, peaches, berries, cantaloupes, and tomatoes. Use hand tools, such as shovels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives. Mix/transport chemicals, fertilize, till soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, and pruning crops. Set up irrigation equipment and participate in irrigation activities. Construct trellises and repair fences.
Operate tractors and tractor-drawn machinery to plow, fertilize, and spray crops. Harvest fruits and vegetables by hand being able to use ladders up to 16' and weighing about 2 lbs. per foot and buckets in excess of 75 lbs. A minimum productivity standard applies; 80 bu boxes of fresh market apples per day. All fruit to be handled with care to avoid bruising. Fruit injured by bruising not to exceed 4%.
Due to health and safety concerns, workers must understand basic instruction in English. Workers referred as a result of this order must have a minimum of three months of verifiable experience in performing the tasks described in this order.
