Generate revenue by selling and servicing accounts via the phone and/or internet. Sell products and/or services. Duties include inbound and/or outbound telesales activities for new or existing/renewing accounts. May be assigned to respond to email inquiries
and orders may also generate leads for sales team.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identifies key decision makers/key contacts in existing identified customer base.
Follows up on sales leads.
Calls customers and potential customers.
Builds customer relationships.
Provides sales support to existing accounts and obtains new orders.
Researches and identifies needs of current customers and follows up by phone.
Conducts pro-active outgoing sales calls, handles inbound account related calls and follow-up.
Increase sales and average order size by cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sales times.
Contacts customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints.
Monitors activity for assigned accounts the industry influences to proactively address issues or opportunities as they arise.
Maintains knowledge of product and product lines including staying up to date on product changes and additions.
Answers phones, emails, faxes or other customer and sales communications.
Prepares special price requests, handles customer service requests.
Identify and communicate trends in customer needs, satisfaction, and industry trends to other sales reps and management.
Look for new potential sales opportunities/customers
Develops relationships while providing exceptional customer service by phone with existing identified customers.
Adheres to individual, team and department quotas and service level metrics.
Interacts with other departments to resolve customer issues, as needed.
Communicates the status of orders and customer concerns to the other sales reps and/or management in a timely manner.
Represents the company at industry events
Sets up appointments.
Enters orders, quotes, and requests for samples into system for processing and updates information in Customer Management tool.
Maintains complete accurate customer information.
Uses schedules, calendars, and related time management tools to maximize effectiveness.
Organizes processes and maintains written records, computer records and a variety of information.
Maintains website customer accounts, applications and orders
Education, Knowledge and Experience
AA In Business/Marketing or Sales or equivalent BA a plus
