Description Purpose This position provides data management, reporting, and analytics support for the Office of Coordinating Health Services which provides assistance to persons who are homeless or at a high risk of homelessness and who have a disabling condition, such as a mental health issues, physical mobility impairment or are living with HIV/AIDS.
This position performs various support duties, and responds to inquiries and resolves matters of relatively low complexity. Responsibilities require some basic decision making and resourcefulness within available guides and precedents. Work effort impacts client services, program and project image, with nominal liabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities are functional in nature, and performed under direct supervision. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to: 1) Ensures data are collected, entered, and compliant with sponsor guidelines. 2) Runs and troubleshoots data integrity reports, seeking to initially resolve discrepancies. 3) Supports multiple projects by conducting required reporting, data collection, synthesis, and management of services for various health-related projects across the state of WV. 4) Serves as the data manager for multiple programs ensuring data integrity and compliance as well as reporting. Data systems and programs will vary but include hospital, Medicaid, private insurer, and various healthcare data sets and systems.
Supervisory/Lead Role This position reports to the Director. This position will normally receive or follow specific instructions for routine work. Supervision of others is not required, however, sharing of knowledge with others and team participation is expected in the role.
Physical Demands Ability to use computer input devices such as drawing pen, mouse, and trackball with highly developed fine motor skills is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment This position includes a mixture of a normal office environment. Responsible to know and comply with all safety procedures.
Requirements Requisite Qualifications Education and/or Experience 1) Bachelor’s degree in computer information science, or closely related field; And 2) 6 months – 2 years of experience in healthcare information systems related research or closely related healthcare data management; Or 3) Equivalent combination of education and experience.
