Description Purpose The purpose of this position is to oversee the daily operations of a program of research that focuses on the implementation of evidence-based treatments in community settings in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. The individual in this position will help the grant team to continuously monitor project progress and collaborate with the university and community for the success of the overall research study.
This position supervises and coordinates the activities of others and is responsible for the performance of various duties in support of the project. Performs functional operation duties; acts independently, using professional concepts and organizational objectives to effectively address moderate to complex matters. Position duties may require creativity, depth SKAs and interpretive abilities. Work effort has considerable impact on personnel and workflow with potential legal liabilities.
Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities are supervisory in nature, and performed under limited supervision. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to: 1) Responsible for the daily supervision of all activities associated with this research and evaluation program, including the supervision and training of research staff. 2) Independently supervises and coordinates research participant recruitment including administrators, clinicians, and parent-child dyads for all phases of the protocols. 3) In collaboration with the Investigator, is responsible for insuring that appropriate informed consent is obtained from all study participants. 4) Interacts with appropriate investigators, faculty and staff to coordinate research activities with care and to facilitate protocol completion. 5) Schedules and coordinates investigator, consultant and trainer meetings. 6) Schedules and supervises the progress of participants through the various phases of the research studies. 7) Performs or supervises data collection, storage, and analysis. Prepares data reports for manuscript preparation, grant applications, and stakeholder groups. Coordinates all data transfer between this site and the central database for these multi-site studies. 8) Provides protocol and grant status reports for investigators at this and other sites of the research studies. 9) Administers clinical research assessments to study participants at regular intervals. These include structured interviews, videotaped assessments, and qualitative data (e.g., focus group) collection. Participants will include community-based agency administrators, clinicians, and parent-child dyads. 10) Trains other research staff to conduct assessments and comply with study procedures including IRB protocols. 11) Maintains accurate and complete records of protocol activities for all participants. 12) Assists with completion of IRB related tasks. 13) Other related duties as directed by the Principal Investigator 14) Provide technical assistance in relation to information dissemination including: a. Communicate project progress to the funder. b. Develop and revise promotional material including media advertisements and brochures for local agencies. c. Receive and respond to phone requests for information. d. Coordinate publicity efforts. e. Professional manuscript and presentation preparation. f. Prepare summaries of recruitment activities and project deliverables for the PI.
Supervisory/Lead Role This position reports to the Principal Investigator. Normally receives no instructions on routine work, limited instructions on new assignments. Typically determines methods and procedures on new assignments. Supervision of others will be required; and, sharing of knowledge with others and team participation is expected in the role. Program, project or activity lead responsibilities will occur or be assigned in this position.
Physical Demands Activities are predominantly non-manual though some manual work will be included including moving or transporting equipment of up to 25 pounds may be included and manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment. The position requires prolonged periods of sitting and the ability to walk short distances through the department or campus which may require use of elevators and/or stairs.
Work Environment Work is performed in a standard office atmosphere with shared space and equipment. Work will occasionally experience external environment when preparing for and attending meetings, events, delivering documents or equipment. The incumbent is responsible to know and comply with all safety procedures.
Requirements Requisite Qualifications Education and/or Experience 1) Bachelor’s degree in a psychology, public administration, public health or related field. And 2) 5 - 7 years of project management experience; Or 3) An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations 1) Valid driver’s license 2) Ability to obtain PA Act 33/34/73 clearances upon hire

Preferred Qualifications & Credentials 1) A master’s degree is preferred. 2) Experience participating in inter-organizational collaborations preferred. 3) Experience managing multi-site projects or evaluations preferred. 4) Incumbent must have reliable transportation.
