Prototype Developer - 047959 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Georgia-Pacific Prototype Developer This position will require the ideal candidate to possess knowledge of modeling and prototype principles, practices, and procedures to assist the design and development of new or improved products. Working with a variety of teams supporting Georgia Pacific products, you will create prototypes, assisting in the design, looks and function of products. A Day In The Life Typically Includes: * Executes the design and fabrication of breadboards, fixtures and prototypes to various degrees of functionality and aesthetics using SolidWorks and traditional physical prototyping methods * Generate various ideas and concepts that provide creative solutions to the problem(s) that our customers will bring to you. * Work directly with designers, engineers and technical resources to understand the needs and challenges they are facing * Use rapid prototyping processes available in the marketplace and how to leverage the various capabilities within a project request * Work with various prototyping mediums such as wood, plastic, metal, urethanes, foams, etc. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
