Cybersecurity is chartered with managing and directing the security programs focused on the discipline of cybersecurity design, implementation, analytics, threats, monitoring, response, and investigation across the organization. Cybersecurity Officers protect the firm's people, clients, and information assets - ensuring the safety and soundness of the firm's business operations. Cybersecurity personnel providesubject matter expertise, thought leadership, guidance, best practice and support across all business and technology groups firm-wide as it relates to the security of JMPC, it’s products, processes, and technology

The Cybersecurity Operations Strategy Manager is part of the Operational Excellence team, and is responsible for developing and implementing frameworks, and driving quality and efficiency improvements across the Cybersecurity Operations team. They ensure goal alignment between stakeholder teams, conduct root cause analysis, monitor performance indicators, and implement improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyze, develop, and/or deliver improvements to Cybersecurity Operations security monitoring

  • Partner with the business to prioritize and deliver capabilities defined by the strategic roadmap

  • Proactively manage relationships with stakeholders through effective communication, including interactions with Executive and Managing Directors on a regular basis

  • Ensure stability and resiliency of Cybersecurity products and services

  • Employ approved defense-in-depth principles along the kill chain to eliminate risk and vulnerabilities and improve security controls

  • Take the lead on the identification of threats and risks drive security controls

  • Capable of performing technical and non-technical risk and vulnerability assessments and support incident response

  • Execute research and development of proof of concept in line with emerging industry trends

  • Coordinate across multiple Cybersecurity transformation teams to ensure the right initiatives are undertaken and the benefits are being fully realized

  • Contribute to the establishment of continuous improvement discipline across Cybersecurity Operations

Qualifications

  • Broad understanding of the financial industry

  • Proficient in the mindset for risk and control compliance

  • 10 years experience working in information technology, risk management, or compliance within the finance sector

  • Knowledge of information security and privacy regulatory requirements

  • Highly-motivated leader able to handle a high level of complexity and dynamic priorities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – ability to facilitate, negotiate, and influence

  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity is not a requirement, but preferred
