Kforce IT Manager in New York, New York

Kforce's client, a well-known, and one of the largest philanthropic service organizations in the world is seeking an IT Manager in New York, NY. Reporting to the Director of Financial Systems and Operations, the Senior Application supports and maintains the suite of business process applications. This position will help define and drive projects for all functions, both client-facing and operations. The Manager will also work closely with various -key users- on troubleshooting day-to-day issues on various platforms.The Responsibilities Include:

  • Design, implement, and modify templates and reports using SQL Server Reporting Services

  • Ensure database integrity by conducting regular audits of data

  • Recommend/implement measures to continually improve quality and accuracy of data

  • Oversee database management procedures

  • Play an active role in the planning, testing and deployment of application releases and/or updates

  • Provide training to end-users of business applications

  • Work with vendors to modify application needs to match business processes

  • Oversee the setup of Active Directory new user accounts including email and distribution lists

  • Provide business application administration and support, including first-line trouble shooting, problem solving and as needed coordination with vendor support

  • Maintain ongoing general software and hardware inventory

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • BA and advanced degree or equivalent experience required

  • 3 years of progressively responsible experience in IT management; including database management; and providing systems, end-user support and administration for applications or processes

  • Demonstrated collaborative and flexible style, with strong team player approach and customer-service orientation

  • Working knowledge and expertise with Microsoft SQL Server and Blackbaud Raiser's Edge is a plus

  • Expertise in using Microsoft Office Suite, Crystal Reports and administration of Office 365

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a wide variety of user skill sets

  • Strong analytical and observation skills

  • Ability to understand user requirements and respond accordingly

  • Organized, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize and work under pressure, with a flair for creative problem solving

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
