The Learning and Organizational Development (L & OD) team is committed to ensuring that HDR retains and sustains a high performing, diverse workforce by developing and implementing progressive learning and development initiatives. We have a Sr. Performance Consultant opening on the L & OD team. The primary responsibilities for this position are twofold: 1) to analyze and design, implement and deliver a variety of interpersonal skills courses used for teaming and leadership programs, and 2) assist with the implementation and delivery of performance and talent management programs. Responsibilities also include working on other key initiatives to create a high performing organization. Additionally, the role requires experience in facilitating strategic planning, change management, and performance and talent management processes.
The Sr. Performance Consultant will also partner with subject-matter experts on company-wide programs and engage in multiple projects at one time. Candidates must have experience in applying adult learning methodologies and have the ability to identify blended learning opportunities using a variety of educational technologies. The role requires applying a systematic approach to recognize and analyze performance improvement opportunities that impact the bottom line.
Basic Qualifications • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Applied Behavioral Sciences, Business Administration or related field • 7 years of work experience as a Performance Consultant (e.g. knowledge of adult learning styles, participative training design, group dynamics, interactive learning methods, systems theory and quality improvement processes, advanced consulting methods, leadership coaching, conflict resolution, group facilitation, organization communication processes, presentation skills and project management) • 5 years of proven consulting skills to identify performance improvement requirements and solutions • 5 years of proven experience facilitating interpersonal skills courses • Proven experience in developing influential and trust-based relationships with senior leaders and decision makers • Plan and organize events related to training delivery • Ability to create a schedule for assignments and drive completion accordingly • Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization • Work effectively as a member of L&OD team and Human Resources department • Knowledge and experience of human resources roles, functions and how they can be positioned to influence behavior change and sustain solutions that drive results. • Ability to travel up to 50% of time, according to business needs. • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, learning orientation, attention to detail, time management
Preferred Qualifications • Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior, or Organizational Change Management, Organizational Leadership or any program with an emphasis in Leadership Development • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a matrix management environment • Executive presence, communication and presentation skills • 5 years of experience in designing and implementing leadership development programs
