Position Description

Under general supervisor, the Manager performs advanced accounting and reporting for Payroll, Benefits, Bonuses, Severance, and T&E. They will assist departmental Managers and Directors with supervisory and control responsibilities.


Ownership of the accounting for Employee Payroll, Benefits, and Pension. Assists in preparation of 11K.

Main Areas of Responsibility

  • Performs reconciliations between ADP GL reports and General Ledger accounts. Perform quarterly reconciliations between ADP reports and all upstream vendors such as equity, 401k, and HRIS systems to ensure all financial impacting data is captured.

  • Ownership of the accounting for the company’s pension and post-retirement plans.

  • Assists in preparation of the Form 11-K and 5500s.

  • Analyzes general ledger accounts for accuracy; analyzes accrual accounts to ensure proper accruals.

  • Prepares complex financial reports in a timely and accurate manner; and completes individual analytical projects in a satisfactory manner given abstract project guidelines.

  • Assists departmental managers/directors with supervision of other clerical and professional staff of the department as required.


  • At least 5 years of accounting experience

  • Knowledge of employee benefits accounting and reporting

  • Knowledge of payroll processes

  • Knowledge of SAP, Payroll Systems, Microsoft Office

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven problem solving skills

  • Ability to work across teams

  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry preferred


  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting.

  • CPA preferred.
