OFFICE OF THE ARIZONA ATTORNEY GENERAL
The Arizona Attorney General’s Office Child and Family Protection Division is seeking an Assistant Attorney General for the Civil and Criminal Litigation and Advice Section (CLA) which represents the Department of Economic Security (DES) and the Department of Child Safety (DCS). The attorney’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, representing DES in civil litigation, providing advice to some of the over eighty DES social programs and agencies, including programs for the blind and visually impaired, Adult Protective Services, the Department of Developmental Disabilities, and the Rehabilitation Services Administration; representing DES and DCS in administrative proceedings pertaining to foster care certification and licensing, adoption and guardianship subsidy appeals, and protective services review team appeals; and additional tasks as assigned by supervisory personnel.
CLA attorneys must comply with laws, rules, office policies and procedures applicable to the performance of the job.

A valid Arizona Driver’s License is required, along with giving consent to have your driving record run periodically.
Travel is required for this position.
Admission to, and good standing with, the Arizona State Bar is required (include on resume the date(s) of admission in Arizona and any other states).Candidate must have anactive Arizona State Bar license.__
Attorney Applicants are required tosubmit a writing sample with their resume/application profile. Writing Sample Guidelines:
Ø The writing sample should contain an analysis of some substantive legal issue and provide insight concerning your ability to think and to explain and advocate for a particular position.

- The preferred candidate will have a minimum often (10) years of experience in all aspects of civil litigation, including E-discovery.
