The Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) is currently seeking a highly motivated Classification and Compensation Analyst to perform Agency-wide classification and compensation studies, evaluations of positions to determine appropriate classification and relative worth, analyzing positions versus market data and internal organization structure, recommending salary grades, and communicating evaluation results to management.
Reviews and analyzes positions to determine appropriate classification and grade.
Researches and updates or develops classification specifications.
Reviews and analyzes requests for salary adjustments for individual actions or as a comprehensive market study for entire classifications or families.
Provides technical expertise to managers and supervisors on aspects of Agency classification and compensation systems, issues, programs, strategies and services.
Working knowledge of whole job classification analysis.
Familiarity with HRIS systems.
Knowledge of and ability to explain and apply state and federal laws, as well as state and agency rules.
Responsible for identifying and eliminating non-value added process steps and making recommendations to integrate continuous improvement strategy into day-to-day activities.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources with a minimum of 3 years classification and compensation experience. Experience with LEAN management or Six Sigma process improvement methodologies a plus.
