Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as the Manager, Project Scheduling & Controls you will develop, implement, and direct the preparation of project schedules for Automated People Mover (APM) and Automated Rail Transit (ART) proposals and projects. You will manage Schedulers and schedule execution in Primavera to ensure project delivery is on time, within budget, aligned with customer expectations and profitable.

In your role you will:

  • Manage and provide direction, coordination, and guidance to Scheduling team;

  • Use Primavera scheduling software to develop and execute resource-loaded project schedules;

  • Coordinate and influence engineering and manufacturing schedules to ensure compatibility with the overall project schedule;

  • Assist with schedule negotiations with the customer;

  • Establish and support workaround plans to mitigate adverse impact on customer, contract, schedule and financial performance;

  • Review and analyze contract requirements with internal and external partners as well as major subcontractors to establish schedules and manpower plans for proposals and projects in conjunction with the project management team;

  • Participate in customer, partner and supplier negotiations and status meetings to ensure scheduling concerns are defined and addressed;

  • Support the preparation of delay claims for justification of contract schedule adjustments; recommend potential claim actions;

  • Lead and develop opportunities for value-add and consistency across projects.


As our ideal candidate:

  • You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project/Construction Management or related discipline; a Master’s degree will be considered an asset;

  • You possess at least (10) years of experience managing project schedules and direct reports;

  • You must demonstrate a high degree of knowledge and proficiency utilizing Primavera P6.

  • You possess experience with developing detailed project schedules with focus on the Critical Path Method (CPM);

  • You have the ability to conduct Earned Value (EV) analysis;

  • You can operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams;

  • You possess a background in understanding and implementing customer requirements;

  • You possess strong organizational and prioritization skills;

  • You demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines, and are self-motivated;

  • You possess the ability to adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment;

  • You demonstrate strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Additional information: The person in this position must be able to travel domestically or internationally (approximately 20%)
