Job Details:AS or BS degree w/ MLT(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) cert req.BB(ASCP)Medical Lab Tech (MLT)MT (ASCP)SBB(ASCP) This position will work at different hospitals in PittsburghThe Technologist I will perform all aspects of routine clinical laboratory testing, basic serological problem resolution in the area of immunohematology, and provides for the manufacturing and distribution of appropriate products for transfusion. Perform all routine pretransfusion testing and quality control to obtain serologically safe products for transfusion consistent with SOP and cGMP requirements. Resolve basic serological problems consistent with SOP and cGMP requirements as needed.Must be able to complete 8 weeks of training from 7:00am - 3:00 pm, before hired shift beginsRequirements: -Associate Degree with MLT (ASCP) certification required. -BS/BA Degree in medical technology, biology, or a related science with MT (ASCP) or BB (ASCP) or SBB (ASCP) strongly preferred. -Must have reliable transportation.
