Position Summary

The Senior Controls Analyst analyzes functions at FedEx Office and identifies risk areas. This position develops and implements solutions that significantly improve the internal control environment. The role also leads internal control reviews, projects and cross-functional teams.

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead internal control reviews and projects

  • Assist business and process owners in the development of self-assessment tools and reporting techniques

  • Develop, coordinate, and conduct audit self-assessment training

  • Design self-audit applications to identify control weaknesses

  • Provide internal control consultation to application development teams, corrective action teams and management

  • Challenge existing and assists in creating new policies and procedures

  • Develop and implement solutions that significantly improve the internal control environment

  • Assist with or supports FedEx Office Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls initiatives to ensure SOX compliance

  • Research and propose initiatives to reduce company risk

  • Design self-audit applications and automate manual processes

  • Create new efficiencies, improvements and streamlines major department functions

  • Mentor Internal Control Analysts and Associates

  • All other duties as needed or required

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

·Bachelors degreeor equivalent experience

·4+ years experience in engineering,audit, accounting or finance

·CPA, CIA, CISA, or CCSA preferred

  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access

  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills

  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed

  • Ability, on a consistent basis, to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours in order to support the FedEx Office business; regular attendance and/or reporting could include regular attendance at a physical location and/or maintaining established business hours depending on the scope and nature of the position
