The Office of Recovery Services help ensure that parents are financially responsible for their children by providing child support services. We are looking for hard working, ambitious people who will: Extensively use a computer and telephone to establish child support orders and to collect child support Verify and-or correct balances which may be owed,determine appropriate legal action including garnishment,lien,etc. Prepare documentation in support of cases presented in court hearings Conduct research to gather evidence,analyze facts,and apply knowledge of the Office of Recover Services rules,regulations and policies. A WRITTEN EXERCISE WILL BE GIVEN AS THE FIRST PHASE OF THE SELECTION PROCESS. The Ideal Candidate The model candidate for this position is someone who: has exceptional customer service skills has strong communication skills in verbal and written form has telephone etiquette skills is able to enter data into a computer system using computer software programs including web based,spreadsheet and word processing is able to determine debt and establish child support orders is able to contact individuals or organizations to secure delinquent payments,and-or make payment arrangements for money owed is able to interpret,clarify,explain and apply agency policy and procedures,business practices,federal or state laws and regulations The Agency The Office of Recovery Services is a part of the Department of Human Services.
