Oracle Financial Services Global Business Unit helps our

clients transform their Business and Technology landscape to accommodate the

realities of doing business in today’s global Financial Services environment.

To accelerate the largest deals across the globe we seek applications for an

elite team of Financial Services Solution Architects.

Applicants should be Senior Solution Expert in the Financial

Services industry, with significant experience of helping businesses transform

their regulatory reporting and risk regime – for example by transforming the

way banks perform their risk management, risk analytics/reporting and

regulatory reporting submission.

This team of Solution experts is an intrinsic part of the

Sales team and have a single focus on positioning Oracle’s FSGBU Solutions at

the heart of the largest Transformation projects. Common customer opportunities

and projects will include but are not limited to Enterprise risk and regulatory

transformations and Finance/Performance, Risk, Treasury and Customer Analytics

Initiatives, usually spanning multiple analytics domains.

The Solution expert bridge the gap between business and

technology –speaking the value language of business and technology C-level

individuals. They combine a deep understanding of technology, applications,

industry best practices, business processes and architectural patterns to drive

IT transformation initiatives that meet the business objectives of our customers.

Ideal Candidates will be seasoned senior level professionals

who not only possess deep experience with technology transformation but also

significant experience in Financial Services Banking or Analytical

Applications.

The role is predominately a Pre-Sales role, with positions

open globally. This role is based in the North American marketplace, and the

candidate would ideally be located in or close to one of the major financial

services centres such as New York, San Francisco, Charlotte or Toronto.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to and drive largest Oracle cross Line Of

Business deals in the Financial Services Global Business Unit (FSGBU) globally

as directed by regional sales heads and presales / solution leaders with

rigorous sales focus.

Work in collaboration with local account team (X-stack

–hardware, technology and applications), Global Client Advisors

Lead all consultative selling enabling services including

domain architects, sales consulting & Industry Solutions Group (ISGs).

Exercise creativity, independent judgment and business

acumen in selecting methods and techniques to design non-routine and very

complex business solutions utilizing FSGBU and broader Oracle products and

technology to meet customer needs.

Interact with all roles at customer – including CIO, CRO,

CDO and Business representatives

Articulate case for change

Lead detailed discovery analysis

Conduct repeatable strategy, architecture, roadmap and

planning workshops

Provide assessment of current state architecture and

recommendation of future state architecture

Identify and evangelize key business and technology benefits

of adoption

Provide roadmap and migration methodology and identify quick

wins

Advise on organizational impact of solutions

Remain fully aware of relevant business programs and assets

from Oracle worldwide

Remain aware of all relevant product developments and

references – both at Oracle and at competitors

Skills Preferred:

Wide background including business subject matter expertise,

implementation and delivery of large‐scale software systems in real-world

situations in the Financial Services Industry

Wide knowledge of risk and regulatory market and trends

Minimum 10 years experience in IT or Business Consulting

Knowledge of full Oracle stack (ideally)

Specific knowledge of Oracle database and middleware

technology is an advantage

Specific knowledge of Oracle FSGBU offerings is an advantage

Specific knowledge of Oracle Applications solutions is an

advantage

Detailed knowledge of risk and regulations in Financial

services market

Significant C-level presentation experience

Experience in a role reporting directly to/advising CXO or

similar

History of advising on and controlling strategic IT decisions

throughout a major business;

Recognized as an IT leader and thinker by independent organizations

such as IT vendors or analysts;

Flexible to travel globally.

through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support

throughout the sell.

As a Master Principal Sales Consultant you will be

considered expert in formulating and leading presales strategic, technical,

and/or functional sales activity to prospective clients and customers while

ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as the primary consultant on large and/or

complex strategic sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions.

Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops

and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and

all aspects of the strategic and/or technical sales process. Advises internal

and external clients on overall architecture solutions.

Acknowledged expert/professional within company and/or

industry nationally and internationally. Provides leadership in the development

and strategic direction of new products, processes, techniques. Acts as primary

consultant on large projects that effect the organization

functional area.

Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Acts as a leader of large-scale company initiatives. Viewed by peers as a leader and top contributor and by line management as a key business partner. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
