Job Description

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Financial ControlManagerwho will be responsible for revenue and cost accounting at the company. The Manager will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization. This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within financial areas.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Supports corporate operations and program management in preparing program budgets, forecasting revenue, validating EACs, and performing revenue recognition analysis
  • Assists in the development of the budgets of the departments and analysis of expenditures
  • Serves as a liaison with accounting operations to ensure appropriate cost categories are established for tracking purposes
  • Reconciles unbilled receivable accounts
  • Assists in the review and interpretation of performance results and preparation of program financial reports and analysis
  • Reviews all non-labor expenditure requests from programs and operations for compliance with program plans or budgets, reasonableness, and correct assignment
  • Provides recommendations on estimating techniques that are program specific and best emulate program activity for revenues and costs
  • Initiates project set-up process to establish internal financial and control instructions for newly received contracts and contract changes
  • Leads compliance efforts with DCAA including Incurred Cost Submissions, Forward Pricing Rates
  • Ensures compliance with internal procedures and government procurement regulations
  • Assesses systems and processes and recommends or makes improvements needed to meet changing user and organizational needs
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; US citizenship required
  • Bachelors' degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of finance experience working within organizations with $50 million in revenue
  • Experience working with program control techniques in the federal contracting environment
  • Experience working with federal contract pricing as appropriate
  • Experienced in DCAA interfacing and knowledgeable of FAR and CAS
  • Experiencing working with control processes
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex projects under tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Expert at Deltek Costpoint 7 accounting software
  • Previous supervisory experience

Additional Information

Desired Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is a plus

• CPA certification is a plus
