Job Description

SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Intermediate Subject Matter Expert (SME). The candidate must be a recognized industry expert with depth and breadth of knowledge capable of providing advisor and consultant services based on unique experience that has a high level of technical value and return on investment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Security Clearance requirements: TS, TS/SCI, S
  • Bachelors degree minimum. Masters or Doctorate desired
  • Prior experience working with Missile Defense Agency highly desirable
  • 15 years’ experience required; 20 years desired
  • Must be capable of supporting teams and/or working independently regarding very complex technical or programmatic issues

  • Familiarity with operating at technical, managerial, and executive levels is highly desired

  • Experience with operating in politically-charged, sensitive and complex DOD/Joint/Service program environments is highly desired

  • Proven ability to provide direct technical input for solving complex issues in this area

  • Must be considered an SME in one or more of the multi-disciplinary missile defense areas

Additional Information

Technical proficiencies (desired)

  • Familiarity/expertise with one/more BMDS technical and operational attributes

  • Sensor systems, interceptor systems, Battle Management Command and Control (BMC2) systems

  • Expertise across at least one BMDS systems/elements is highly desired
  • Familiarity/expertise with design/development/operational constraints facing ballistic and space systems
  • Familiarity/expertise with requirements, design, development, testing, fielding and operations/sustainment of complex systems and “systems of systems” capabilities

  • Demonstrated ability to support a wide-array of specialized assessments and evaluations

  • CYBER expertise for developmental and operational systems is desired
