Job Description

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Mission Solutions Group at our operational headquarters in Reston, VA. The candidate will provide a full range of business operations in support of strategic planning and program control to our Mission Solutions Group. The candidate will support assigned business operations and program control functions, to include planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting for multiple contracts of varying type, which are small to moderate in size as well as moderate in complexity. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, working both independently and as an important member of the Program Management team. This candidate will report to the Director of Program Control for the Mission Solutions Group and will work collaboratively with the Program Management and Corporate Operations teams.Essential Job Duties• Generate and prepare spreadsheets depicting project performance and provide charts and graphs to illustrate existing and future performance• Develop and analyze Estimate to Complete (ETC) and estimates for future project periods, maintain program budgets, monitor actual costs and commitments• Develop and monitor expenditure plan including level of effort projections as well as depletion dates for current funding• Provide business/pricing strategy analysis for new scope, including development of basis of estimates• Assist in monthly accounting close as well as billing and AP• Develop cost estimates for future project performance periods and report variances against previous projections and pricing standards• With limited assistance of the Director of Program Control, develop DCAA compliant cost models• Prepare project reports to aid program management in controlling projects• Research and communicate to management in a timely manner unusual or questionable cost• Support monthly internal / external financial and program reviews• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors' degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other business related discipline• Five (5) or more years of related experience in performing financial analysis in a Government contracting environment• Must be an Advanced Microsoft Excel “Power User”, including experience working with VLOOKUPS and pivot tables• Familiarity with financial accounting close process as it related to US GAAP• Familiarity with Government cost accounting standards (CAS), as they relate to timekeeping, allowable cost, allocation of cost • Excellent business acumen and strong analytical and problem solving skills• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines• Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills• Proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications
