Description The Richmond office is actively recruiting an Accounting Operations Coordinator to provide direct support to all areas of accounting operations. The Accounting Operations Coordinator performs administrative and technical work of a complex nature with a high degree of accuracy and proficiency. The Accounting Operations Coordinator supports the firm billing and collection function, to include performing regularly assigned billing duties and providing overflow coverage to firm billing coordinators, as needed and serves as backup cash application operator. This position also supports the accounts payable function with an emphasis on check processing and distribution and serves as backup and overflow coordinator for the firm’s escrow function with emphasis on processing and recording escrow deposits and disbursements accurately.
Requirements College or equivalent work experience required, accounting course work is preferred. Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of two years administrative experience required and a minimum of two years general accounting or bookkeeping experience in a professional services industry preferred.
Other Minimum Qualifications Include: Excellent communications skills; strong sense of team, high level of initiative, strong organizational skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple support tasks simultaneously. Extensive analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Strong service orientation.
Must have the ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed for transcription, extensive reading and input (typing) of information into computer. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory.
