Global Account Manager (Job Number: 010400W-01)
DuPont Protection Technologies is seeking a Global Account Manager in the Kevlar® Industrial Protection Market to lead cross-regional account teams. This critical role leads the multifunctional global account teams supporting strategic glove licensees. These teams develop and execute the Global Strategic Account plans and aggressively pursues growth opportunities to achieve profit objectives. The Global Account Manager manages and leads to defend and grow existing share while driving new opportunities to deliver value with Kevlar® in the industrial vertical.
The Kevlar® Global Account Manager is responsible for managing all of the global sales activities at strategic accounts. This requires:
Conducting regular reviews of licensee product offerings to ensure favorable positioning of Kevlar® solutions meeting current end user needs.
Managing DuPont projects for Kevlar® developments that will be offered to glove manufacturers.
Managing contact strategies for sales, marketing, technical, application development and leadership for all three accounts in all regions
Leading the multifunctional account teams driving share and profitability growth to achieve the specific, global POs for volume, revenue and price at each account.
Driving growth programs with Kevlar® glove manufacturers and their sales channels (distributors).
Developing and deploying Challenger commercial insights along with other tools to educate licensees on Kevlar® value proposition and how to sell it through the value chain (ie. through presentations at sales meetings, lunch and learns, webinars etc.). Same level of education to be focused at national and key regional distributors.
Maintaining close communication with sales resources driving activities at spinners, distributors, end users and other downstream touch points
The selling role is highly consultative and requires a deep understanding of the business processes and needs of glove manufacturers, distributors and end users.
The Global Account Manager will become an expert in hand protection in key verticals including automotive, metal stamping, glass handling, small parts assembly and oil/gas.
The Global Account Manager will be responsible for sharing market and competitive intelligence with the global MI segment team (competitive products seen in the market, promotional activities by distributors and licensees, changing needs of end users)
Responsible for maintaining an aggressive sales opportunity pipeline and driving prospects from leads to close of sale.
University degree in business, economics, sciences or related field
Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
3- 5 years of sales experience
Completed professional sales training (Miller Heiman, Sandler, Fundamentals of Selling, ABC or equivalent)
Experience selling to oil/gas and automotive markets preferred
Understanding of DuPont transactional systems preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, SFDC and BW (or other reporting tools)
Knowledge of industrial channel sales process and selling through distribution
Basic understanding in textiles preferred
Good computer skills including proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce.com
